Wood Fuel Central Heating Boilers

HDG Euro Wood Burning BoilersThe HDG range of wood fuel boilers have low emission rates, are controllable, efficient, durable, well made and safe, convenient and easy to use and provide effective central heating in both domestic and commercial settings.

Central Heating powered by a wood boiler is an ecologically sound solution to domestic central heating systems and commercial central heating for those who seriously care about the impact on the environment.

Wood Burning boilers for domestic central heating systems and for commercial central heating may be fuelled by split wood logs, wood pellets, wood chips or biomass fuels.

Pellets are efficient, effective, burn to leave little residual ash and are easy, clean and convenient to store and handle.

Pellet boilers and log boilers are suitable options for domestic heating systems, where the appliance is purely functional and the aesthetic, decorative appearance of the boiler is not a major consideration.

Whilst a split log boiler or pellet boiler would probably be the first choice for a domestic central heating boiler, a biomass chip boiler is suitable for large domestic situations, such as farmhouses and estates, and for commercial use.

Automatic wood chip and wood pellet boilers, for commercial central heating and hot water, use state-of-the-art combustion technology, automatic ignition, automated feed systems and built in safety features - such as a  rotary feeder for burn-back protection - to ensure complete efficiency and reliable, trouble-free operation.

Heating with wood chips, wood pellets and sawdust/shavings recovers energy on-site, and is particularly suitable in a commercial situation. Wood by-products from manufacturing, which have no additives, such as wood planings and sawdust can be a perfect way to use 'waste wood' for Commercial Space Heating.

Heating with wood chips is ecologically responsible, as it has a virtually closed CO2 cycle. Burning wood reduces dependence on heating oil and natural gas, produces lower sulphur dioxide emissions, compared to heating with fossil fuels, and only releases the quantity of CO2 that the tree removed from the atmosphere as it grew.

Wood is transported over shorter distances from domestic woodlands and thus strengthens the regional economy. Timber is a renewable resource and more wood is grown each year than we consume.

Some Traditional and Contemporary Woodburning Stoves, such as the Harmony 3, with back boiler, are also designed to run domestic Central Heating Systems.
