Woodburning Stove Maintenance and Chimney Care Services

Maintenance and safety go hand in hand and appliance care and chimney care are important to ensure the continuing efficiency and fuel economy of your wood burning stove or boiler. We recommend that you contact us to have your wood stove, chimney, and vents professionally inspected and cleaned each year to keep them in safe working order.

Chimney Care
Regular chimney sweeping, at the end of the burning season or least once a year, is necessary to keep your chimney clean and reduce tar and soot deposits and the risk of chimney fire.

The build up of deposits depends on the construction and type of chimney, how well seasoned the wood fuel is and how often the stove is used. Tar, soot and deposits in a chimney may reduce the draw. This will make the stove run poorly as it will become be more difficult to light and burn less efficiently. A soot fall in the chimney can block the flue leading from the stove and cause it to smoke excessively.

Appliance Care
Wood burning stoves and multi-fuel stoves are substantially built, cheap to run and require minimal maintenance. Periodic checking of the fire brick (refractory) lining of the firebox, the grate, ash pan and door alignment, door gaskets and stove glass is recommended.

Dean Forge Croft Clearburn Woodburning Stove installed by StovecoStoveco provides you with a professional and complete service, with expert advice, installation and maintenance services by our highly qualified and experienced staff.

"A great service from start to finish. Time was taken to help us with deciding on the right woodburner for our requirements.

We were very pleased with the installation as great care was taken when removing out old fireplace & fitting the new woodburner (which was no easy task) but was done with minimum of disruption.

The after service is first class, with Dan & his workforce always happy to give advice when asked.

Very satisfied customers"
