Hwam Contemporary Wood Burning and Multi-Fuel Stoves

Hwam 3310 Wood Burning Stove, shown freestanding Hwam represents pure design, uncomplicated and without superfluous ornamentation. The Scandinavian tradition - cultivated to the level of the sublime. A design to surprise - with and without the flames.

But  Hwam means much more than just heat from an unusually beautiful piece of furniture. It also means sophisticated wood burning stoves featuring ground breaking technology and a superior finish down to the last detail. Technologically Hwam has a lead by virtue of a patented system which automatically regulates the intake of air to the combustion chamber to ensure optimal combustion. At the same time less ash and grime are produced.

Architects and designers with a passion for uniting technical function with timeless design, have made all the wood-burning stove models from Hwam. The stoves from HWAM are designed by leading Scandinavian designers,  complemented by the company's expertise and patented technologies to form a perfect harmony between design and functionality.

Tobias Jacobsen and Henrik Sørig Thomsen, outstanding examples of industrial designers who have understood how to give their wood-burning products a beautiful exterior and carefully considered interior, said of the three designs which they produced for Hwam “The 5% sloped front is the most striking feature of our woodburning stoves. The idea came to us because we wanted to improve the view of the flames. By giving the wood-burning stove’s “body” an inward turn we try to draw in the users, to invite them to take a seat around the fire"

HWAM I 20/80 Log Burning Fireplace Insert Elegant and simple, and when the fire no longer warms up your home, a wood burning stove from HWAM stands out as an elegant piece of furniture in its own right. Burn either wood or coal with the cast iron basket.

“The first objective is to create heat, secondly to make the heat visible by showing the fire, using a contemporary design approach which appeals to our concept of aesthetics. And thirdly to do it in a finish which expresses quality. These parameters form a synthesis which communicates something important about Danes’ desire for life quality.” Ib Sand Nykjær, Director, Hwam Heat Design.

Hwam Heat Design is Europe’s largest manufacturer of wood burning stoves made from sheet iron and produces more than 30,000 woodburning stoves annually.
